Speculators decreased net bearish positions on US 10-year Treasury futures

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators decreased their overall bearish positions last week after bearish bets had risen higher the previous week.

The non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes saw a weekly change of +50,524 net contracts to total a net position of -111,903 contracts. Long positions increased by 48,148 contracts while the short positions fell by -2,376 contracts.

Meanwhile, during the reporting time period – April 7th to April 14th - the yield on the 10-Year treasury note edged up from 1.89% to 1.90%.
