EMU: Trade surplus widens to €17.3B in June

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Eurozone June not seasonally adjusted trade surplus widened to €17.3B from €14.5B in May, according to data published by Eurostat on Friday.

The seasonally adjusted trade surplus widened to €14.9B from €13.8B, below forecasts of widening to €15.3B.

EMU: Annual CPI-Core grows 1.1% in July, as expected

According to data released today by Eurostat, Eurozone annual core inflation rose 1.1% in July, following 1.2% growth registered the previous month. This result is in line with analysts' forecasts. On a monthly basis Eurozone CPI fell 0.5% in July, compared with the 0.1% increase in June. Year-over-year CPI remained at 1.6%.

USD/CHF turns negative

USD/CHF has been a good performer against the dollar, falling from 0.9400 territory to below 0.9260 in London and NA markets yesterday, and today finds fresh offers after bids overnight from 0.9260 to 0.9289.
