Evacuation ordered following explosin in New York bus terminal
An explosion occurred in New York City's one of the busiest bus terminals, Port Authority, on Monday, the NYPD announced in the last hour. "The NYPD is responding to reports of an explosion of unknown origin at 42nd Street and 8th Ave, #Manhattan. The A, C and E line are being evacuated at this time. Info is preliminary, more when available," the NYPD tweeted out.
Reporting on the incident, "two people were in custody, a law enforcement official said. One may have been carrying a device that could have been a pipe bomb, which exploded," NY Times wrote.
There was no initial market reaction. As of writing, the US Dollar Index was at 93.87, up 0.03% on the day.
