EUR futures: prospects for deeper retracement

In light of preliminary figures for EUR futures markets from CME Group, investors added around 11.4K contracts to their open interest positions on Thursday from Wednesday’s 583,751 contracts. In the same line, volume increased by more than 5.6K contracts, recording the fourth advance in a row.

EUR/USD gearing up for a test of 1.2270/06

EUR/USD’s rangebound theme is poised to continue for the time being, although the recent decline in spot has been against the backdrop of rising volume and open interest. It is worth mentioning that volume has more than doubled this week from levels seen in early March. Therefore, a re-visit of the 1.2273/06 band is back on the cards, ahead of 1.2165/55 band.
