EUR futures: bearish, neutral near term

According to preliminary figures for EUR futures markets from CME Group, investors added around 3.3K contracts on Friday from the previous day, while volume shrunk for the second session in a row, this time by more than 5K contracts.

EUR/USD further retracement not ruled out

The recent leg lower in EUR/USD was on the back of opposing trends from open interest and volume, leaving the door open for further consolidation although a move lower cannot be ruled out for the time being.
